The Association Between Plexus and World Hunger
Hunger is not just present in third-world countries but first-world countries as well. There are still a lot of people who are impervious to the issue of hunger, even from first-world countries. Reality-wise, no matter where you live, there will always be families and children who are not sure when and where they can get their next meal. The issue of world hunger is a topic that Plexus president Christopher Pair is well aware of. His real-life experience of childhood hunger is one of the reasons why he can relate to this issue strongly.
Being the grandson of a Mexican immigrant and the son of a sharecropper, poverty is something that he has been through and has only escaped when their father joined the military. To provide for the family, his father left the service and became a gardener. Most of the time, there was not enough food supply in their own house. Their little amount of food supply is also not enough to give them the nutritional value that they need. To have the right amount of money to pay for food, young Christopher and his family had to make money through recycling. In order for them to buy meals, they needed to trade soda cans with money.
Having experienced years of uncertainty, Christopher made it his mission to obtain proper education to further his career. With good health and prosperity in mind, Christopher Pair came to the direct selling industry to make a positive impact on the lives of other people. A direct selling company that focuses on people living healthier lives, Plexus Worldwide has appointed Christopher Pair to be its President of Operations and International.
Christopher Pair has long dedicated his life to helping other people. He joined Plexus because of their goal to help other people overcome health challenges. With the joined efforts of achieving health and nutrition, both Plexus and Christopher Pair are moving forward to provide nourishment to people who are suffering from hunger.
Come June 2018, Plexus partnered with Feeding America to provide nourishment to the hungry. The partnership strives to deal with the issue of hunger. Their Nourish One initiative is where every time you buy a Plexus Lean product from them, 14 meals as equivalent in a monetary donation will go to Feeding America. In five months, 4 million meals were donated.
With the goal of Christopher Pair to provide more than 10 million meals, its Nourish One Initiative has partnered with Mary’s Meals. Mary’s Meals is an international child hunger charity that has been established to feed 1.3 million each day. For every purchase of Plexus Lean product that you make, a monetary donation will go to the charity. Plexus has even made an initial $25,000 donation to Mary’s Meals on the 12th of January.
Mary’s Meals set up school feeding programs with the help of community volunteers to 17 of the most impoverished countries of the world. Rather than begging to get a meal, children are encouraged to go to school to get a meal.
